NRLS to LFPSE transition report

This report analyses over 10 million records from the national platforms used to record patient safety events in England: the National Reporting Learning System (NRLS) and the Learn from Patient Safety Events (LFPSE). In addition to closing a 3-year publication gap, this report uses data from across +11,700 healthcare organisations to uncover trends in patient safety incident recording.

This was a project I delivered from conception to final publication in my role as data analyst in the Patient Safety Analysis Team at NHS England. The data pipeline behind this publication is fully automated and its code is version-controlled using Git. The report was produced using R and quarto. Data visualisations were generated using ggplot.
